Charmed is always cool, even second time around

July 11th, 2012

So im sitting here with my sisters watching Charmed. Never watched it with both of my sisters before, and its actually kind of cool. And I love Charmed. Me and Nat decided to watch the series again, because quite frankly it is awesome! Except for Darryl. I hate early season Darryl, hes an arse. Cant wait till he becomes god Darryl.

I changed my blog!

July 11th, 2012

I think it looks way cooler now. I also spent about an hour going through random settings to try and fully integrate my blog and Facebook. Hopefully I think I have done this. Let me know if you can still see it and what you think about it!

I am gonna try and blog again, more often. I figured that I probably don’t blog that often because I feel like im expected to write huge blogs. So I have decided that I will write more blogs, but maybe some smaller ones

How do hotels make their scrambled eggs.

July 7th, 2012

Specifically Novotel, as my last breakfast there was epic. I cant figure out how the hell they make the scrambled egg the way they do! Its so nice and creamy…I wonder if its cream… Anyways

Last day of course was fun. Didn’t win anything this year but still had a awesome time. Got a couple of friends out of it. Didn’t really speak much for the first day or two, but once I found my mojo, I actually participated. The only downside to the last day was that I had to lug my bag from the hotel to Greenlane training centre, which I cant for the life of me remember the name. But it wasnt so bad. Arm was killing me though when I got there haha

Learned a little more on the last day, it was nice. About habits of a leader. Had a few lessens that morning, a few in the afternoon, then the graduation.

Got my certificate, said my good byes, and came home.

Well, I wish that had happened. I got my certificate, said my good byes, and lugged my bag back to the hotel to get a taxi. Ever tried to get a taxi on the corner of Great South Rd and Greenlane? LOL

Had a nice 4 hour bus ride home, well 3 and a half hour. Pretty sure I fell asleep. I don’t remember chunks of the journey hah. Arrived in Rotorua, waited for my ride to arrive. Eventually it did, normally I wouldn’t mind waiting but I was tired, cold and needed to pee. Got home, wanted to do some stuff, didn’t get to do it, went to bed and crashed like Val Kilmer’s movie career.

Woke up this morning and can you believe it, there was no breakfast buffet (Laura!) So made my own breakfast, chilled out caught up on some stuff and its right now. So this is where my post ends, but only because I’m not capable of seeing into the future.

Store Visit

July 6th, 2012

So my 4th day was a store visit. My group went to Lincoln Road McDonalds. I forgot the name but that is the one I have been to before. I forgot how busy it could be! Some of their staff  are great too. There was this one chick on counter, and she kicked ass! She was amazing! If she ever moves to Vegas, she has a job!

Apart from that got to go to Auckland Waterfront after class with a couple of people from class, which was nice. Anyway, going to get my bags now as its time for checkout. Well its not, but I have to because I will be at class all day, figured I’d get my last free breakfast in before I did hehe.

Seriously, more role playing?

July 4th, 2012

Drives me crazy lol. Although I definatly think I’m improving, and I am definatly learning more about stuff that I didnt know before. Though I suppose that everything I learn is stuff I didnt know before haha.

Maybe I will eventually feel comfortable, but I’m still out of my comfort zone right now so I will give it some time. Apart from the role playing today wasnt a bad day.The weather was a bit better today too. A little rainy this morning but the sun came out and and stayed out for most of the day.

Tommorow we have out store visit. I cant remember weather I went to Lincoln Road or Westgate last time, but Im going to Lincoln Road tommorow. If its the one I’v been to before it shouldnt be that bad. If its the one I havnt been to yet it shouldnt be that bad. Anyways Im hungry. Blog more soon.

So my second day

July 3rd, 2012

Wasnt so bad either. I actually learned some stuff and I hope that I remember it. And Im actually thinking of things that I can change at work, which is a plus I suppose. Though I suspect that this is the point of the class, to be able to remember this stuff and put it into action back at my store.

So, how was my day. Well the rain was pretty bad today. It was a little spitty this morning, but it wasnt bad. Then the heavens opened, and there was a leak in one of the lights in the class room. That was… I want to say funny or something, but it really wasnt. It was an inconvienience at best.

Then we watched a video called Max and Max. It was a little wierd. About a dog and an employee of a man called Mr Harold. That was…different.

Then we did role play. I hate role playing. I hate being out of my comfort zone. My comfort zone is, well, comfortable. So as you can imagine, being outside of it is a genuine struggle for me. I do think that I am getting better though, and feedback from Steve was nice, and my second roll platy as coach certainly improved over my first. Then the rain stopped and the sun came out by 4oclock. So thinking I was going to get soaked on the way home, I actually had a nice walk in the sun.

Anyways, just going to get something to eat. No idea where. Its still a bit wet out, so maybe I will try the hotel resturant. I mean it is paid for.

So first day of course wasnt so bad.

July 2nd, 2012

Just a short one today, I really cant be bothered writing anymore. Though I did put a couple of pictures on facebook. Anyways, back to my ramblings. It feels different than I remember at SSC, I mean I know its obviously different because its ASM but its wierd. The class is a lot smaller for a start, like only 20 people. Though by comparison SSC has like 25 or something doesnt it. Lol. Its kinda fun though even though it only be a day. Im enjoying it, and I really wanna learn heaps of shit but I really want it to be over all ready. Not because I am not enjoying it, like I said its only been a day so cant hate it that much, but I just wanna go home lol. Although it is nice being in a hotel room thats completly paid for. Its a Novotel, so its not a bad hotel either.

I arrived safely!

July 1st, 2012

So, I went to bed around 1.30am. Should have gone to bed way earlier! But I got up around 6.30 fine. I say got up around 6.30, I actually got up about 7ish, it took from 6.30 to 7 for me to wake up properly. Then I got a lift into town and I got to play on a big boy bus! Well, the Rotorua-Auckland Intercity. This worked out quite well, because it was actually quite comfortable. And I had no one sitting next to me, well untill Hamilton anyway. But that wasnt so bad. The driver was really nice to. He was like a tour guide. Iv lived here 3 years and I actually didnt know some of the stuff he was going on about lol.

We left Rotorua at around 8.10ish. It left a little late. Got to Hamilton bus station at about twentyfive to 10. Left just before 10. Arrived in Auckland at about 12 ish. Went for a walk around the big city, first time alone I might add, and found a Burger King. There was lunch. Hung around there for a little bit, walked a bit down the street to get me closer to my hotel so the taxi would be cheaper. Went the wrong way at first haha. Fell like an idiot. A sore idiot lol. My bag was killing me! It is so heavy! Im only here for 5 days, I packed for like 8 days. You never know when you might need spare clothes! Better to have them and not need them, than need them and not have them. But try telling that to my shoulders.

Found me a taxi anyway, and omg. It stunk. The Indian driver was an idiot. I asked if he took eftpos, he said no credit card. I showed him my eftpos card, and low and behold, he took eftpos! Got to Novotel, couldnt wait to get out that cab, I thought I’ll pay and get out quick. THEN he pulled out his credit card machine. It wasnt, it was one of those old swipey things that use paper! He mumbled something and I was like ‘What?’ then he mumbled again, I again said what. He then spoke at a normal human level and asked me to sign and put in how much it was. Tell me if im wrong, but if I am a taxi driver arnt I supposed to put the price on? Couldnt wait to run away from that guy.

Finally I get into the hotel, cant check in yet because its not 2’o’clock so figured id write a blog. Good times. Bring on course! Muhuhaaaaa
